Dr. Jack Culross received his undergraduate degree from Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL. He received both his M.A. and his Ph.D from LSU. He was originally hired by EKU to teach a graduate course in literary criticism, and also taught the graduate seminar in Victorian literature. Throughout his 37 year career, Dr. Culross has held various positions: 11 years as a full-time teacher, 2 as acting assistant dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, 5 years as Dean of Undergraduate Studies, 16 years as dean of Academic Support and Undergraduate Studies, and 1 year as Interim Chair of the department. After his retirement from EKU, he plans to remain an active scholar. He currently has two articles awaiting publication.
