I. General Information
10. What happens on examination day?
You should report to the testing location by the specified time. The date and
hour are printed on your class schedule; you should try to arrive a bit early
so you can settle yourself before you have to begin.
You must bring:
- a valid ID (current EKU photo identification card or driver's license)
- black or blue pen.
You may also bring:
- a composition handbook,
- a dictionary, and
- a watch.
All other items must be placed on the desk at the front of the room. If you
neglected to bring any of the optional items, you must do without them; you
may not borrow anything from other examinees. You may not use pre-written notes
or any other materials, and you may not give aid to, or receive aid from, other
examinees. Do not bring pagers or cellular phones.
You must enter your EKU Student Identification Number in the space provided
at the bottom of the back page. Each test booklet has four pages: the first
page is planning space for you to use in organizing and is not considered in
scoring; the remaining three are for your essay. You may not use supplemental
pages; you will not be given a second booklet.
You will have exactly 60 minutes to complete the exam. The proctors should
announce when 30 minutes remain and when 10 minutes remain. At the end of the
exam period, your essay is collected and you are dismissed.
